Sámi Food systems in museum

On November 26th, the Interreg project Máhtut organized a museum workshop (bargobádji) as part of the project’s third work package. The bargobádji gathered museum workers and research partners engaged in topics related to Sámi food systems. 16 researchers and museum professionals participated in presentations, and round table discussions: Davvi Álbmogiid Guovddaš, Várjjat Sámi Musea, Árran julevsáme guovdásj, Várdobáiki sámi guovddaš, Nordland Research Institute, and Norwegian Association of Museums (Dutkan Davvin project). The Máhtut-project was represented with project members from University of Lapland and The Sámi Education Institute, in addition to the hosts from the Arctic University Museum of Norway where the bargobádji took place.
